Quick summary: Martin Sanchez (right) recounts his career background and experience participating in a recent Community for Youth career panel, supporting the local non-profit and sharing his advice with local high schoolers.

My journey to Logic20/20

I grew up in a middle-class family in Mexico. My father, from a small village in the High Sierras, completed high school and moved to Hermosillo, Mexico, for work. My mother finished junior high and worked as a secretary. Despite tough times, they worked hard to provide my sisters and me with the best education they could afford, encouraging us to dream big during Mexico’s severe economic crises and hyperinflation.

I was fortunate to have great teachers who believed in me and motivated me. I worked and studied hard, applying dedication and discipline to everything I did. With support from inspiring people and government programs providing loans and scholarships, I attended a highly regarded college and continued my journey to where I am now. I believe in helping others, leading by example, and the power of stories to influence young minds.

At Logic20/20, I have advanced my career not only by diving into new and exciting technologies, but also by helping our clients navigate the rapidly evolving tech landscape. Working alongside inspiring and challenging colleagues has been a daily source of motivation. Beyond technical growth, Logic20/20 has equipped me with the tools and opportunities to develop as a professional and to share my expertise and mentorship with others.

My career panel experience

At first, I was a bit hesitant to participate in Community for Youth’s recent career panel, wondering if there was something I could actually contribute to these young students.

Once I took my seat with the rest of the panel, I saw people from many walks of life and felt excited to see that level of diversity.

The questions from the students intrigued and fascinated me, and I found their honesty quite refreshing. I felt that the panel provided them with answers that hopefully will help them as they begin their career journeys. I was particularly touched by the question “How do you know that you’re an adult?” as it is a question that I think everyone keeps asking themselves and a question for which there is no clear answer, but that can surely generate anxiety in many young minds. The people on the panel were all so gracious, honest, and interested in giving the best advice to the students, and I felt very happy and very proud to have been given a chance to participate.
