Welcome to our Coffee Chat series, where we get to know the “Logicians” who make Logic20/20 a great place to work. Today, we’re sitting down with Hannah Clements, a Manager based in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Grab your favorite beverage, pull up a chair, and join us!

How did you find your way to Logic20/20?

I started my career at a large consulting firm in San Diego, but, I felt like I hit a ceiling. There were strict timelines around promotions, and most of my work focused on government clients. I was ready for more variety and a sense of ownership in my career. A former colleague had moved over to Logic20/20 and encouraged me to chat with them. I ended up meeting Will Schmidt, our Head of Consulting, who conveniently lived nearby in San Diego for coffee. He shared Logic’s vision, values, and the type of projects they were working on. After our conversation, I saw genuine opportunities to make an immediate impact from day one and decided it was the right move.

You began in one practice area and later transitioned to another. What sparked that change?

Initially, I joined as a senior consultant in the Digital Transformation practice, however I was working on projects aligned to Logic’s Advanced Analytics practice. Over time, I realized my interests leaned heavily toward technical program and project management, which fit better with the Advanced Analytics practice. I raised this with my leads, and they were incredibly supportive—from my project executive up through practice directors. One thing I love about Logic20/20 is that these kinds of shifts aren’t bogged down by bureaucracy or red tape you encounter at larger firms. I’ve been in Advanced Analytics ever since.

What stands out to you about Logic20/20’s culture, especially compared to larger firms?

The accessibility of leadership stands out the most. Within my first year, I was able to connect regularly with senior leaders across the company. They’re just a quick message away—whether I need project advice, career guidance, or want to bounce around new ideas. This type of open-door culture is rare at larger firms, and it genuinely makes you feel supported.

You were recently promoted to manager—congratulations! What did that journey look like?

Thank you! From the start, I was upfront with leadership about my career goals. I directly asked what specific things they needed to see for me to progress, and then worked intentionally toward those goals. Throughout the process, I had tremendous support from mentors and colleagues who had previously navigated similar paths. Transparent expectations and consistent support were key.

You’re also involved in talent acquisition and bench management—how did that start?

It began as a volunteer role driven by curiosity. I wanted to understand how we source talent, manage resources, and build effective project teams from scratch. Getting involved gave me insight into the operational side of consulting, complementing my client-facing work. Now, I see clearly how the full lifecycle of consulting works—from winning projects to staffing and supporting our people.

What does a typical day look like for you?

No two days are alike, which keeps things interesting. Currently, I’m supporting a major program for a utility client, which involves aligning stakeholders, strategic planning, and coordination. I’m also involved in responding to proposals, and supporting internal recruiting efforts. My days differ but often blend client meetings, internal practice operations, and occasional presales/ business development support. It’s busy, but genuinely rewarding.

Which of Logic20/20’s core values resonates most with you?

Honestly, all of them play a role in how I work, but I’d say the idea of fostering a culture of “we” stands out to me most. When leading a project team, creating an environment where people feel heard and supported is essential. I also believe deeply in our drive toward excellence—always pushing beyond expectations to deliver exceptional results for clients—and doing it all with integrity.

What do you enjoy most about life outside of work?

I recently moved back to the U.S. Virgin Islands, where I grew up, and I spend as much time as possible on the water. Surfing, boating, snorkeling, or simply enjoying beach days with my rescue dog make me incredibly happy. My ideal day involves an early morning surf session followed by a boat day hopping between small, uninhabited islands—it’s a perfect balance to the intensity of consulting.

Final question: How do you take your coffee?

I’m a big coffee fan! At home, I use my espresso machine daily to make a cortado-style latte—two espresso shots, some frothed milk, and occasionally a dash of vanilla or cinnamon. And every now and then, I’ll treat myself to an afternoon chai latte with espresso—though I like to pretend that doesn’t count as my second coffee for the day 😊.
